1.  Changes to the Privacy Policy

Weblengs reserves the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy at any time. Changes take effect as soon as Weblengs posts a revised version of the Privacy Policy. The date that the current version was posted is written at the top of the Privacy Policy. By accessing or using the Website after Weblengs has posted a revised version of the Privacy Policy, you agree to all changes that have been made.

2.  Types of information collected

Like many providers of online services, Weblengs collects information that your browser sends whenever you use the Service ("Browsing Information"). This Browsing Information may include information such as your computer's IP address, browser type, browser version, the pages that you visit on the Website, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, and other statistics.

When you create an Account, do a Free Trial, or purchase a Paid Course, Weblengs collects personal information ("Personal Information") that you provide, such as your email address, your name, your location, and your payment details (e.g., your billing address, your credit card information).

When you use Content in a Free Trial or a Paid Course, Weblengs may collect information about your performance ("Performance Information"), for example how many questions you answered correctly.

3.  Collection procedures

Browsing Information is collected automatically when you use the Service, for example through the communication process between the Website and your browser.

Personal Information is collected by asking you to provide it, for example in forms on the Website.

Performance Information is collected automatically when you use Content, for example when you finish answering questions in a quiz and click "Submit" so you can see how many of your answers are correct.

4.  Collection purposes

Weblengs uses Browsing Information to look for patterns in how the Service is used. This helps Weblengs to find ways to improve the Service.

Weblengs uses Personal Information to fulfill your request to create an Account, to do a Free Trial, or to purchase a Paid Course. For example, if you purchase a Paid Course, Weblengs uses your payment details to complete your purchase. Weblengs may also use your email address to provide you with support related to the Service. For example, if you contact Weblengs by email with questions, Weblengs provides answers by email.

Weblengs uses Performance Information to provide you with feedback on your performance with Content, for example your number of correct answers on a quiz.

5.  Consent procedures

By using the Service, you consent to Weblengs collecting and using Browsing Information for only the specific reason above (see Collection purposes section above). Therefore, if you do not consent to this, do not use the Service.

By providing Personal Information, you consent to Weblengs collecting and using it for only the specific reason above (see Collection purposes section above). Therefore, if you do not consent to this, do not provide Weblengs with this information.

By using any Content, you consent to Weblengs collecting and using Performance Information for only the specific reason above (see Collection purposes section above). Therefore, if you do not consent to this, do not use any of the Content.

If Weblengs would like to collect and/or use your information for any other reason (e.g., marketing), Weblengs will ask you explicitly for your consent or provide you with an opportunity to say no.

If at any time you wish to withdraw your consent for Weblengs to use any information that you have provided, you must contact Weblengs in writing (see Contact section below).

6.  Information access

The Website is hosted by Thinkific (www.thinkific.com), a third-party online learning materials development platform. Your Personal Information and Browsing Information are stored using Thinkific's data storage, databases and the general Thinkific application. Thinkific stores these data on a secure server behind a firewall. Thinkific therefore has and can access these data.

If you purchase a Paid Course you must pay a fee, and to process this payment Weblengs uses a third-party payment processor such as Stripe or Paypal. Payments are encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information.

Keep in mind that third-party service providers Weblengs uses may be located in or have facilities that are located in a different jurisdiction than either you or Weblengs. So if you choose to proceed with a transaction that involves these third-party service providers, then your information may become subject to the laws of the jurisdiction(s) in which that third-party service provider or its facilities are located. As an example, if you are located in Canada and your transaction is processed by a third-party service provider located in the USA, then your Personal Information used in completing that transaction may be subject to disclosure under USA legislation, including the Patriot Act.

Also, when you click on links on the Website and in the Content, the links may direct you to other websites (e.g., to videos on Youtube). Once you leave the Website or are redirected to any other websites, you are no longer governed by Weblengs' Privacy Policy or Terms. Weblengs is not responsible for the privacy practices of other websites and Weblengs encourages you to read their privacy policies.

Beyond these ways of sharing your information, Weblengs may disclose your information if Weblengs is required by law to do so or if you violate the Terms. Also, if the Service is acquired by or merged with another company, Weblengs may transfer your information to the new owners so that they can continue to provide the Service.

Further details about the accessibility of your information can be found in the privacy policies of the third-party service providers Weblengs uses:

7.  Information protection

No method of information transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. However, Weblengs and the third-party service providers Weblengs uses take a variety of recommended steps to protect the information Weblengs collects.

For example, if you provide Weblengs with your credit card information, the information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stored with a AES-256 encryption. Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, Weblengs follows all PCI-DSS requirements and implements additional generally accepted industry standards.

Also, the only members of the Weblengs team who are granted access to your information are those who need the information to perform a specific job (e.g., billing or customer service), and any devices we use to store your information (e.g., backup hard drives) are encrypted.

Further details about the protection of your data can be found in security statements from the third-party service providers Weblengs uses:
